DescriptionProject Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.We are looking for talented technicians to help full-scale production of the Kuiper satellites. The success of Kuiper depends on the quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, and security of the products that you deliver. Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations

Assemble and test with emphasis to detail an assortment of avionic, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and related hardware

Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated

Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems

Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory

You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables

Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance

Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)

Your work may include contributing to improving work instructions and safety procedures

Additional Requirements: - Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts) overtime and weekends as needed. Shift will vary, depending on program needs

Flexible working/commuting in between site locations

Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position

Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $26.00/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. This group of Technicians thrived in success by working as a team. We are currently in research and development but moving towards production environment.Basic Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

1+ years relevant working with your hands such as kitchen or back of house, mechanics or general assembly.

1 year + experience in fast paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters), as well as standard hand tools

Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements

Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

Prior military service a plus

The base pay for this position ranges from $52,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $60,320/year in our highest geographic market.
