Located in Tri-Cities, WA, Jerry D. Abrams Company, Inc. is a fast-paced property management firm that specializes in commercial, residential, and association management. The Company is currently seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to manage and execute full cycle bookkeeping and accounting processes in conjunction with other staff and the management team. The salary range for this position is $50-70k depending on experience and qualifications. Accounting degree preferred but not necessary.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Manage and perform accounting responsibilities necessary for the accurate and timely
maintenance of the Company’s general ledger, and related ledgers for individual
properties, to provide Company management and property owners with quality financial
information and reports. Process transactions, journal entries, and financial statements
in preparation of monthly close on a timely basis.
Provide timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
transactions by following proper accounting principles and Company procedures. This
involves working with vendors, tenants and property owners on an ongoing basis to
assure accurate and complete income and expense processing and reporting utilizing
accounting and property management software systems such as QuickBooks and
Appfolio.
Provide ongoing management of the Company’s payroll information with consistent,
accurate and timely submission to the Company’s payroll processing service provider.
Manage preparation of the monthly bank reconciliations and reconciliation of the petty
cash accounts.
Collect information and prepare documents and reports required by State, Federal and
other agencies related to activities of the Company such as monthly excise tax returns, business license renewals, SAM and GSA reporting.
Foster employee, vendor, and client relationships with a customer service mindset.
Continuously improve accounting systems, controls, and procedures.
Work with and maintain confidential information.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
