We build a wide range of homes, everything from more common and cost-effective homes, to larger, more intricate homes with custom details. We are constantly developing new floorplans and refining existing floorplans based on feedback. With your experience, we are looking for fresh ideas to continue to push the variety, and quality of our homes further. You would work out of our Richland, WA offices.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to join our team and contribute to our home construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting, with specific knowledge of IRC design requirements and the ability to produce full plan sets. This individual should be proficient in designing and drawing the structural components of a home, including beams, brace walls, and footings.
In-person/in-office from our Richland, WA office only. This position is not available for remote work.
Compensation:
$70k+ per year, depending on experience. Significant drafting experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed and accurate CAD drawings for residential construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with IRC design requirements and local building codes.
- Design and draft structural components such as beams, brace walls, and footings.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to incorporate design changes and modifications.
- Maintain organized documentation of drawings and revisions.
Qualifications:
- Significant prior experience as a CAD Drafter in the residential construction industry is essential.
- Proficiency in CAD drawing programs, with at least one program mastered.
- Strong knowledge of IRC design requirements and local building codes.
- Ability to produce full plan sets with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Computer literate with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Chief Architect is a plus.
