About Us:
Senior Life Resources is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life for individuals through compassionate in-home care and services. Our key programs, Home Care Services and Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels, provide vital support to seniors, helping them maintain independence and dignity in their homes.
We are currently seeking a Meals on Wheels Café Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring high-quality meal preparation and service for both in-person diners and homebound clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise meal setup, preparation, service, and cleanup.
Manage and coordinate volunteer shifts for efficient meal service and deliveries.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain accurate records, including food safety reports, volunteer hours, and bank deposits.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
Build positive relationships with participants, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Handle administrative tasks such as follow-ups and phone calls.
Attend meetings and training as required.
Maintain confidentiality of all participant, staff, and organizational information.
Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, basic computer skills, and email communication.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in daily meal program operations.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions accurately.
Demonstrates sound judgment and professionalism, including in emergencies.
Experience in food service, with knowledge of food preparation, equipment operation, and sanitation standards (preferred).
Supervisory experience (preferred).
Valid Washington State Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire).

Working Conditions:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).
Daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends.
Contingency of Employment:
Acceptable background check and driving record.
Current Washington State Driver’s License.
Must possess a valid Washington State Food Handler’s Card.
