About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance related to agricultural production equipment. This role involves maintaining and repairing production equipment, with a focus on both preventative and reactive maintenance. The position requires Monday through Sunday availability to ensure optimal performance and reliability of machinery used in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural production equipment.
2. Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns and ensure long-term operational efficiency.
3. Work on bearings, motors, belts, shafts, and other mechanical components.
4. Troubleshoot and repair issues with variable frequency drives (VFDs).
5. Ensure that all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in maintenance with agricultural production machinery.
2. Hands-on experience with bearings, motors, belts, shafts, and related components.
3. Basic knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and their operation.
Additional Skills:
1. Go getter attitude, problem solver, able to work independently.
2. The job often involves standing for long periods, lifting heavy parts, and working in various positions. Physical endurance is important.
3. Time Management: Effectively managing time to balance multiple tasks and ensure that repairs are completed promptly is important.
4. Stress Management: The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure is important, especially when dealing with tight deadlines or challenging repairs.
