JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for installation, calibration, repair, preventive maintenance, reliability and optimization of 5 different brands of sorters throughout Basic American Foods and Basic American Ingredients. Responsible for purchasing, installation, calibration, repair, preventive maintenance of process instrumentation devices and associated controls throughout BAF and BAI.

JOB DUTIES

1. Train other technicians and maintenance personnel on instrumentation, calibration and field troubleshooting. Use in-depth knowledge from experience, training and technical manuals to diagnose and train others on the repair instrumentation.

2. Inspects, tests, services, configures, calibrates, and installs indicating, recording, and automatic control instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, thermometers, regulators, systems, and similar components in the BAF manufacturing plants. South Eastern Idaho or Moses Lake, WA.

3. Operates such electronic test equipment such as multi-meters, frequency generators, and counters, data recorders, digital logic probes and oscilloscopes.

4. Locates part sources, estimates costs and prepares requisitions for equipment. Work with maintenance on standardization of instrumentation and documentation.

5. Performs preventive maintenance and optimizes performance of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical devices and instrumentation.

6. Utilizes knowledge of PLCs, control loops, and pc interfaces in the performance of above duties. Performs work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance and safety procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent specializing in electronics, instrumentation and control systems from two-year College or technical school; and at least five years of related experience and/or additional training.

Consideration may be given to equivalent proficiency gained through additional experience and practice in the field of electronics and instrumentation.

Should have knowledge of SQL Database software, AutoCAD Design software, PLC Programming Software, Microsoft Office including Access, Word and Excel.

Ability to read and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
