Job Purpose:

EVCO is looking for ambitious hard working entry level people, looking to start a career in electronics.

An associate equipment installer is the starting level in EVCO’s electronics technician apprenticeship program. We are responsible to provide you a road map to becoming a Washington State licensed low voltage electrician. EVCO will provide you a clear path and development plan that will increase your hourly rate over the years. Daily activities include but are not limited to field installation and basic testing of wire, field devices and head end equipment. The installer along with all of our project team employees, has the responsibility to ensure a quality, on time completion of this project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work under direct supervision of lead technician

- Wire, Install, basic test and label field and head end devices as required by project.

- Correct deficiencies in system during installation.

- Attend weekly “tool box” safety huddles

- Level of professionalism and attire for working in environments that range from working hospitals to ground up construction sites

- Report worked hours daily

- Willingness to work out of town at times.

What we Offer:

- From $18 to $23 per hour based on experience

- Development Path and training to obtains state license and higher hourly rate.

Skills and Qualifications

- Basic entry level exposure to low voltage electronics

- Clean driving record and current driver’s license

- Basic experience with industry related tools (wire strippers, basic hand tools, volt ohm meter)

- Basic computer skills

- Physical demands walking, stooping, ladder climbing, lifts and lifting 50-90 lbs

Schedule

- 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 depending on project. Weekdays. Very rare weekends

- Overtime possible

Education Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED, or on the job training may substitute as equivalent
