CNC Operator / Cabinet Expert for Home Builder In-House Cabinet Mfg

We are a local homebuilder in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas looking for an experienced woodworker in cabinetry and cabinet manufacturing. We build quality homes with custom touches on a somewhat production cycle (4 to 5 months for each home's build time) and we are looking to bring on an additional craftsman to join our existing team. We also build homes in the Boise area, and so you should expect that at times you'll travel down to the Boise area for a day or two of work, sometimes with a 2-man crew. The job is full time and a typical workweek is 40-50 hours. Even in winter, we keep you busy.

We supply all tools (except your hand tools). You supply a good attitude and punctuality. We are a non-smoking company.

We are looking for someone skilled in the construction trade to primarily design, build, and install cabinets in a cabinet manufacturing shop. CNC experience is a huge plus and will give preference to a candidate with extensive experience. If you also have experience in painting cabinets, walls/ceilings, exteriors, and millwork, that will provide a strong consideration but not necessary to apply.

Attributes you possess:

Must be organized.

Must be safety-minded.

Someone who can communicate well. We have an excellent reputation as a contractor, one component to that is the efficiency and level at which we communicate with each other, our trade partners, and our clients.

Must be a self-starter. If you don't know what that means, you probably aren't one. This job will require someone who doesn't need to be micromanaged.

Possess a valid driver's license and is comfortable driving trucks or large vans and pulling trailers.

Tasks will vary from job to job (each house tends to be a little unique), so we are looking for someone who has the skills to jump in. The primary scope of work and most important skills to this position are:

Experience installing cabinets and crown. We are looking for more than screwing cabinets to the wall. If you have the experience we are looking for, you know there is a certain amount of finesse required to get it right.

Experience building cabinets using various specialized tools, including a CNC machine to cut pieces from sheet material.

At times, you could find yourself installing millwork (trim carpentry) – hey, we said we keep you busy during the slower times. Will include everything from base, casing, headers, fully wrapped windows, shiplap, mantles, shelves, closets, ceiling beams and trays, and more.

This position requires someone who can work autonomously. This position also requires a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50 lbs consistently, and to work safely, efficiently, and quickly.

The pay range is $22-$30 per hour DOE for the right person. We will have a 90-day review period, where at the end of it, we will confirm whether this is a good fit for us and you. If interested, please reply to this ad and let us know your background and skills.
