Position Overview:

The Financial Reporting Analyst II supports the Credit Union's financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and technical accounting functions by preparing complex financial information, performing technical accounting analyses, and independently completing specialized accounting activities including loan accounting. This position contributes to the accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Credit Union's financial reporting processes through technical expertise and sound professional judgment.Core Job / Requirements/OutcomesPrepare accurate and timely external financial reporting by independently completing financial statement support, regulatory reporting, audit activities, and related reporting requirements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidance.Perform specialized accounting and technical analyses by preparing CECL calculations, loan accounting activities, accounting research, and other complex accounting responsibilities while identifying issues and recommending appropriate accounting treatment.Improve financial reporting processes by utilizing reporting technologies, enhancing documentation, identifying process improvements, and collaborating across the department to strengthen reporting efficiency and internal controls.Other Essential FunctionsSupport departmental or credit union wide initiatives and projects by contributing as an effective project team member and complete all tasks and assignments in a timely manner.Provide support across the Financial Reporting team through cross-training, knowledge sharing, and assisting with department responsibilities as neededEnsure accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness in all aspects of financial reporting, accounting, and analytical work to support sound financial reporting and regulatory compliance.Represent the Financial Reporting department by providing timely, professional, and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory guidance, and tax requirements while identifying opportunities to improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
