Overview

This position assists Engineers in application of principles, methods, and techniques of engineering technology by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the analysis of data received by others to plan and design projects.

Assists in site or field investigations.

Assists in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and permits for projects.

Assists engineers in checking of work prepared by drafters and engineering designers.

Performs minor design of portions of routine projects under direction of Project Engineer, or other responsible staff member and applies engineering fundamentals.

Performs basic CADD drafting on a regular basis to produce designs into complex, non-routine, final drawings.

Uses AutoCAD in calculations of dimensions and distances

Be able to visualize from two dimension to three dimension and produce drawings in three dimensions.

Research discipline-related code issues and present interpretation.

Provide coordination of all applicable project discipline's drawings and specifications.

Understand and utilize engineering technical terminology.

Responsible for job specific standards, practices and quality as defined in BRPH CAD Standards.

May provide guidance, mentoring, instruction, and supervise daily tasks of drafting staff.

Promotes communications, cooperation and quality among discipline and team members.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree or equivalent with 2 years of experience or

Bachelors degree

Salary range - $68,000 - $88,000 per year
