Our CompanySpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care OverviewAs an in-school behavioral technician, you will work under the supervision of a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) or a behavior specialist to provide one-on-one or group instruction and support to students with autism and/or behavioral health needs. You will implement evidence-based interventions based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to help students achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals. Provide direct instruction and support to students with autism and/or behavioral health needs in various settings, such as classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, etc.
Follow the individualized education plan (IEP) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the school.
Use positive reinforcement and other ABA techniques to teach students new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
Collect and record data on student performance, behavior, and response to intervention
Report any changes or concerns to the teacher and the behavior specialist
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure consistency and continuity of care
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all tim es
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, plus a minimum of six months prior work/volunteer experience providing individual instructions, preferably in a health care environment.
Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Able to work independently and part of a team
Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail
Has reliable transportation and is able to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations on a daily basis
