Country Acre is looking to add a warm, kind, and patient teacher to our team. Applicants should have prior experience as a lead teacher of a classroom, must have experience with curriculum and lesson planning, and be comfortable with positive classroom management. Experience working with children with special needs is a bonus. If not already, applicants must be willing to pass a background check, provide a negative TB test, earn Child Care Basics certification, First Aid/CPR/BBP certification, and a food handlers permit. As per the new WAC laws effective August 2019, applicants must also be currently working on, or be willing to begin work on an initial and short ECE certificate or an equivalent. Applicants must be willing to commit to a 5-day work week with very limited call outs/time off. A strong presence, love for children, and initiative to keep the classroom clean and organized are very important. Wage will be discussed based on existing qualifications, with room for increase based on performance. This position is ideally for someone who plans to work with us for long-term employment.
