Preservation Natural Wines, a bottle shop specializing in minimal-intervention wines, is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Part-Time Wine Sales Associate to join our team at our new location on Front Street in Poulsbo. As a Wine Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, promoting our unique selection of natural wines, and contributing to the overall success of our store.
Responsibilities:
-Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
-Educate customers about natural and organic wines, including their production methods, varietals, and flavor profiles.
-Assist customers in selecting wines that align with their preferences, dietary restrictions, and occasions.
-Offer personalized recommendations and food pairing suggestions to enhance the customer experience.
-Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including shelves, displays, and tasting areas.
-Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise, ensuring proper storage and rotation of products.
-Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
-Assist with special events, tastings, and promotions as needed.
-Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new arrivals, and emerging wine producers.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Prior retail or hospitality experience, preferably in the wine industry.
-Passion for natural and biodynamic wines and a strong desire to share knowledge with customers.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
-Detail-oriented with a focus on providing exceptional service.
-Basic math skills and proficiency in using POS systems.
-Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
-Ability to lift 40 lb cases of wine.
-Must be of legal drinking age and comply with all alcohol-related regulations.
