Please help our mother 'age in place' in her own home.
Loving female caregivers needed for our 96-year-old mother who lives in Grayland within walking distance to the beach. Current team consists of four devoted and responsible caregivers. Her involved family is always available for support.
Note: Due to client's age, she spends most of each day in bed, although the goal is that she always gets up to her chair. Responsibilities include monitoring her for safety, protecting her from falls, providing companionship, oversight of medications, light meal prep and light housekeeping, communicating regularly with family and other caregivers on client's condition, any changes and overall disposition. Family provides most of the personal care required.
Client's physical abilities and mentation fluctuate depending on the day, but she is usually oriented and takes part in her own care with encouragement and assistance as needed. She is generally 'standby assist' with cane, sleeps through the night and able to get up to the bathroom on her own. She has memory issues, so repetition is to be expected. She loves animals and has a cat.
Two Positions Available
Position One: Overnight caregivers for 1- 3 days (24 hours/shifts) per week. Hours have some flexibility, 20-hour shifts may be possible. Additional hours may be available for unexpected events. The overnight shift pays $280/24 hour shift.
Overnight Shift Options:
Sunday 3pm to Monday 3pm
Monday 3pm to Tuesday 3pm
Tuesday 3pm to Wednesday 3pm
Wednesday 3pm to Thursday 3pm
Thursday 3pm to Friday 1pm
Position Two:
This position would be on-call for shorter shifts (8 hours and under) or possibly for scheduled shifts of shorter duration. This position pays $20/hour.
