JOB DESCRIPTION:
Your responsibilities throughout the day will be greeting patients, assisting in collecting patient information and updating their records accurately. You will be using a computer for most of your day and so having strong computer skills and being able to learn our office software quickly will help. You will also be managing appointment scheduling with efficiency, prioritizing phone calls, emails and patients that are walking in. Most of the time you will be multi-tasking and so being able to pause what you're working on and pick it back up later is going to be necessary. You will be collecting patient demographics and medical/vision insurance information and imputing the data into the system, so accuracy and attention to detail is a must. You will have access to legally protected patient information and you will need to handle that with maturity and discretion. A lot of the time you will be giving and receiving information from multiple departments such as Optical, Billing, Medical Technicians and the front desk, and so we need someone who works well with a team, but can also be very self-directed and get work done on your own.
We are a growing office looking for a hardworking PART TIME employee with high energy, and who knows how to exceed expectations. This is a small office, but it can be very fast paced, where it is helpful to cross train employees as much as possible in all duties, as needed. Any time of experience in Optometry/Ophthalmology is preferred, but it is not required as we are willing to train the right candidate that will fit into our team.
Serious inquiries only, please.
