GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Livestock Management:
Care, feeding, and manually moving enclosures for broiler chickens on pasture. Care and feeding of chicks in brooder barn. Washing feeders and waterers to reset in between batches of chickens. Assistance of moving birds from brooder to pasture.
Chicken Processing:
Working as part of an assembly line performing quality control and evisceration of chickens at our WSDA licensed Chicken Processing Unit. Cleaning and sanitizing equipment. Butchering chickens into cuts. Weighing and packaging chicken to create a professional product for sale at our Farmers Markets. This job will involve standing for the entirety of your shift, and mostly working in an assembly line with us and some good tunes!
Please note that this job does not include any killing of the chickens, but you may encounter mortalities throughout the course of your work day.
