We are an established private community located between Sequim and Port Townsend hiring for the position of Park Aide on our facilities crew. Please apply only if seeking long term employment.
-15-20 hours a week 9:00-2:00 Tuesday-Thursday(Mondays seasonally and as needed).
-Wage: $20-$25.00 depending on applicant. This position accrues both sick and vacation pay with hours worked.
Applicants must be strong, physically fit and happy working outdoors. Experience operating a backhoe/loader is a huge plus, as well as general knowledge of all things maintenance and landscaping. Regular tasks include water management, weedeating/mowing, small plumbing and electrical repairs/install, painting, small engine maintenance, towing/hauling and much more.
Our ideal candidate would be punctual, reliable and healthy, rarely if ever calling out sick. She/he would maintain a respectful attitude at all times and have excellent communication skills, reporting to and at times working side by side with a female supervisor. All interested parties must take pride in completing projects efficiently and intelligently with a quality finished product. She/he historically works well both independently and as part of a team of 2 to 3 facilities workers. The ability to observe and notice areas needing general maintenance/attention, i.e. leaks, limbing, etc., is crucial. She/he would show care, patience and sensitivity to the specific needs of a retirement aged population and have a general pleasant demeanor.
