Looking to train someone as a weigh master. This position is located in an office at the entrance to a log yard. Trucks stop on the scale and you record the information and hand the trucker a ticket with the information.
This position will also be a Log Scaler trainee.
Weighs incoming and outgoing shipments for the sawmill
Enters data into the computer system
Scan and review logs for measurements
Responsible for placing identifying information on the material upon arrival at the plant site
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against Scaler Information Sheets and/or S29(US Forest Service)
Communicate with supervisor or customers and foresters on log quality and scaling issues
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Overtime required. Position is M-F 6am-4pm
