Summary of Duties: Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of Fleet Readiness activities in accordance with established regulations and procedures. Screens calls and visitors and handles many requests for information, requiring some independent judgment and discretion to provide correct guidance and identify when request needs to be referred to others. Utilizes automated system such as KRONOS and SAP to input, edit and maintain data such as employee schedules, timekeeping, daily cost controls forms, etc. for the activity manager. Handles incoming and outgoing correspondence, determining proper action. Assists in the booking and coordinating events and functions such as luncheons and small parties. Maintains constructive relationships and open communication with other business activities, catering operations, contractors, vendors and command channels. Must promote good patron relationship and enhance the image of the business activity. Help ensure an efficient operation and quality dining or entertainment experience, including assistance with functions and events as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Requires knowledge equivalent to six months clerical experience in support of a business or entertainment activity; such as a restaurant, theater or other commercial enterprise. Must demonstrate effective verbal communication and customer service skills. Must be able to perform simple computer transactions and be willing to learn and adapt to new software applications quickly. The work is primarily sedentary; however some walking, carrying and light lifting (10-25lbs) is occasionally required in support of special events and catered functions. Some work on evenings, weekend and holidays may be required.

Conditions of Employment: Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion and maintenance of National Agency (NACI) background check. Duties are performed primarily indoors. Work may include prolonged hours of standing and walking as well as lifting lightweight objects.
