Safety & Permit Coordinator

Typical Work:

Manages, conducts, and coordinates a comprehensive mine safety and health program for Northwest Rock Inc. to comply with the Department of Labors’ Mine Safety and Health Act (MSHA) requirements;

Ensures maintenance of all records for the safety and health program performance analysis statistics, technical publications, reports of inspections, accident investigations, safety meeting minutes and other program related data and correspondence;

Conducts safety studies and analysis; develops disaster plans, emergency response and evacuation plans/procedures, hazard reporting/identification procedures;

Reviews and conducts accident investigations for proper corrective or preventive actions; recommends solutions for controlling accidents and injuries;

Coordinating with local environmental inspectors, for state compliance with mine reclamation as well as air and water quality standards.

Coordinate and administer trainings as required in Title 30CFR Chapter 1

Requirements:

Min. 5 years experience in the mining industry

Proficient knowledge of Title 30 CFR parts 46/47/48 & 56/57/58

Valid WA Drivers License with Clean record

Dependable, Hardworking, Team Player

Desired:

Mine Safety Professional Certification (CMSP)

Erosion & Sediment Control Lead Certification (CESL)

Current CPR/First Aid Trained

Prior experience in surface metal non metal mining industry
