Job Title: Wetland Biologist
Closing Date: March 20, 2020
Location: Port Angeles, Washington, under the Olympic Mountains. Potential for remote work throughout Jefferson, Kitsap and Thurston County.
Hours: 40-50 hours per week in Summer, 30-40 hours a week in Winter.
Travel obligation: 25% overnight travel
Overtime obligation: Limited overtime commitment.
Compensation: $20-$30 per hour, or more depending on positioning with the company. 75% Health insurance, company vehicle, IRA retirement plan, training and conference allowance, profit sharing, fun and passionate working environment.

Candidate is seasoned wetland and aquatic resource professional – this is not an entry level position. Individual will independently and objectively assess and report on aquatic resources including wetlands, shorelines, and streams in order to address client’s needs and comply with relevant environmental regulation. Candidate should have 2+ years’ experience in Western Washington wetland field assessments, writing wetland delineation reports and related correspondence, and completing ECY’s WRS for WW.
Employee will work alone and as part of a team as needed per project requirements. Position will perform multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines, prioritizing work, managing own time, and facilitating teamwork.
40-70% of our annual workload is residential, the rest being comprised of non-profit, commercial, and municipal. Ideal client will have experience working for a small company and have independent clientele to bring to the company, and seek out and secure new clients as part of their tenureship.
