Clerk, Latah County Assessor Office
Full time position, 40 hrs/week
Starting Salary: $16.71-$18.16 per hr. depending on experience; excellent benefits

Summary of Duties
Administer the “Homeowner Exemption” applications in accordance with Idaho Code, Title 63-602G.
Administer the “Circuit Breaker” property tax reduction program in accordance with Idaho Code, Title 63-701.
Administer property tax exemptions in accordance with Idaho Code, Title 63-602B, 63-602C, 63-602D and 63-602E. (Religious, Fraternal, Benevolent or Charitable, Hospitals and Educational)
Assist public at front counter and on the telephone with information, referrals, documentation and reproduction of public records related to Assessor’s Title 63 responsibilities, including property assessments, property roll information, plat records and tax exemptions.
File property folders and maintain organization of contents of property files in accordance with Assessor’s Office procedures and receive and distribute the daily mail and inter-departmental correspondence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
High school diploma or equivalent, computer entry, organizational and mathematical skills, good written and verbal communication skills with a respect towards the public and co-workers, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Good customer service is one of the main priorities of this position. Mapping skills and ability to read and understand legal documents preferred. One year of experience related to above duties.
