Parks Department
These seasonal positions employ from April-November. Hours are flexible and no experience needed.
Mowing
Primary duties include cleanup, mowing, and trimming of turf areas around city buildings and grounds. Other duties include minor equipment maintenance and recreation support activities. Some weekend work may be required.
Park Maintenance
Equipment operation and maintenance including mowing and small engine equipment as well as City vehicles.
Throughout all City parks, grounds, and playfields complete mowing, trimming, tree trimming, planting, turf maintenance, shrub bed maintenance, and perform a variety of duties in maintenance, irrigation and other repair, custodial, waste management, and operation as assigned.
Opportunities to work Saturdays at the Moscow Farmers Market are also available.
Assist with sports field preparation and maintenance such as chalking, painting, infield skin maintenance, pitcher’s mound maintenance, etc.
Street Department
Seasonal Maintenance Worker. This position 18 years and older will work 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday for the construction season which is typically May through October. 17 years of may be considered in limited capacity.
Job duties include: construction, maintenance, and repair of City streets, right-of-way vegetation, sign maintenance, hardscape, street lighting, fiber optic network maintenance and assisting in the operation of various equipment used in street maintenance.
