The Best Western Plus University Inn is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team.
Attention to detail and pride in your work are essential characteristics of the ideal candidate for this position. This is a physical, often fast-paced job with multiple demands on your time. Prioritization skills are a plus. No two days are alike. There is an opportunity to make a positive and lasting impression on our guests and a valuable contribution to the success of our hotel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair and maintain hotel property to a high standard of excellence.
The job position includes but isn't limited to simple electrical, plumbing, painting, HVAC servicing, PTHP replacement, roofing, grounds and other duties as assigned.
Must be able to work well with others in a diverse working environment.
Must have flexible availability in scheduling to include weekends and holidays if required. Some night call outs could happen but aren't typical.
Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift. Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight, up to 75 lbs.
Position requires bending, reaching, and kneeling to perform duties. Good walking shoes are necessary.
A familiarity with Hotel Preventative maintenance is a plus
