Position Available:

Project Manager - Student Housing Renovation

Location:

On-Site, Pullman, WA

Hours:

Full-time, Tuesday to Saturday (with flexibility for construction schedules). Occasional weekends may be required per the construction schedule.

Company Overview:

Dornin Investment Group is a real estate investment firm specializing in value-add and opportunistic real estate projects across the U.S. We are currently beginning a significant renovation at a student housing property in Pullman, WA, and are seeking a reliable on-site representative to help oversee day-to-day activity during construction.

Role Overview:

This role is a hybrid of project manager and handyman. The ideal candidate will serve as DIG's on-site presence, providing access to contractors, managing construction schedules, approving progress payments, ensuring they are showing up and completing work as scheduled, holding vendors accountable, obtaining bids, and reporting progress/issues back to our asset management team. In addition, this individual will perform basic handyman work and complete smaller scopes of work independently.

Key Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

Serve as on-site DIG representative during construction.

Manage budget, progress payments, and schedule.

Provide access to contractors and ensure site security.

Hold contractors and vendors accountable for schedule, quality, and professionalism.

Perform basic handyman work, including minor repairs, painting, and small construction tasks.

Monitor daily progress and report updates/issues to DIG's corporate team.

Track immediate maintenance needs and address when possible.

Assist in coordinating deliveries, inspections, and punch-list items.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Hands-on handyman or construction experience, basic tools/skills required.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to read and understand basic construction plans/scope of work.

Strong communication skills, verbal and written, to report back to corporate team.

Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Reliability, accountability, and professionalism.

Preferred Experience:

Prior experience working on construction or renovation projects.

Previous facilities, property maintenance, or site superintendent experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive salary compensation.

Salary range $48,000 - $52,000 DOE.
