In this leadership role, you will manage an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. Ensure deliverables of self and team meet client expectations
Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis
Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation
Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Adeptness in financial reporting
Deep understanding of Leadership Skills
Cash Flow Reports experience highly preferred
Expertise in month end closings
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated knowledge of Commercial Contracts
Solid understanding of Construction Industry Experience
General familiarity with budgeting
Year end closings experience
Practical knowledge of forecasting
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Vow to meet business deadlines
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required
