The team executes hundreds of unique title releases, marketing promotions, and feature updates each year to place gaming content in front of customers.The Gaming Digital Microsoft Storefronts team is on the lookout for a Director of eCommerce Cross Category Management . The right candidate will oversee a small but amazing team focused on optimizing our Microsoft digital gaming storefronts . In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in business rhythms, customer analysis, and pricing to guide the business towards sustained growth. Your leadership will be pivotal in refining our discounting and pricing strategies, enhancing the customer experience through experimentation , and prioritizing the development of new store features . ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities

Rhythm of Business Leadership: Own the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of monthly and weekly business review materials, ensuring they reflect the current state of the complete Microsoft Storefronts business across player engagement and monetization as well as various portfolio segments. Deliver accurate, ongoing player-focused financial forecasts for various segments of the store portfolio while also ensuring broad transparency via weekly financial guidance and commentary.

Experimentation Guidance : Partner with various teams on the store A/B testing program to refine business strategies and improve the customer experience. Collaborate with stakeholders to foster new test ideas and ensure the efficient execution of strategic store testing roadmaps for key publishers.

Discounting and Pricing Optimization: Develop and implement storewide discount programs and unique offers to maximize value for customers and partners. Understand store pricing tools, analyze data to mitigate price arbitrage and fraud risks, while evolving Game Pass promotional strategies to increase subscription value and transaction revenue.

Store Customer Insights: Lead customer-focused research initiatives to deepen understanding of store shopping behaviors and translate insights into actionable business strategies for both internal and external partners.

Engineering Prioritization: Partner with CSO Planning and Xbox Engineering teams to prioritize new store features that improve the customer shopping experience and increase publisher satisfaction.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications

7+ years' experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

1+ year(s) people management experience

Experience leading a high-functioning team, collaborating in ambiguous situations, and influencing across multiple complex organizations

Experience identifying critical business elements to effectively communicate business insights & financial analysis for growth strategy recommendation

Preferred Qualifications

9+ years' experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field AND 8+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 7+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

7+ years' experience in go to market (GTM), marketing strategy, business planning, or similar roles

7+ years' experience in integrated, digital or product marketing management

3+ years' people management experience

4+ years' project/vendor management experience

Experience solving complex problems and working through roadblocks

Experience leading and collaborating on projects, with a results-oriented mindset and ability to deliver on a diverse range of tasks

Effective interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to flex communication styles based on audience

Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to fit and finish

Ability to generate positive energy for high-performing team culture, delivering fast with quality and a growth mindset

Broad understanding of the gaming industry preferred but not required

Experience leading and influencing business partners through executive maturity and balanced self-awareness

eCommerce M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
