Azure is a pioneer and leader in this fast-changing domain, and we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Principal Product Management (PM) leader who can drive impact across our wide and varied range of products and services.We are hiring a Principal Product Manager for a unique opportunity in the Azure Edge Infrastructure business. This role blends product management, business operations, and chief of staff responsibilities into one, reporting directly to the business General Manager (GM). Candidates should have a background in product or program management and leadership, experience leading teams, and the desire to make a big impact in a booming segment. Some example responsibilities would include:

Define and execute portfolio-wide product plans, aligning them with the Azure and Microsoft vision and priorities.

Lead cross-portfolio product profit & loss, operations, and planning activities.

Be a trusted advisor to the GM of the business and a key stakeholder in strategic decisions.

Lead key strategic initiatives, customer engagements, and special products.

Drive new research and market analysis activities to identify and validate new opportunities and customer needs.

Partner with startups and Venture Capitalists (VCs) to explore new opportunities and foster innovation.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+  years experience in product or program management.

OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

MBA or equivalent degree in related discipline. 

5+ years of experience in managing business profit & loss and/or contracts and/or business operations

Experienced leadership skills of leading senior teams with or without positional authority. 

Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Ability to manage complex projects in a fast-changing environment. 

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
