The Endpoint Research group is responsible for researching malware, threats, and attacks and crafting detections for our Microsoft Defender Endpoint products.The Endpoint Research team is looking for experienced Security Researcher II join their team . Researching malware, threats, comprise anomalies, and attack behaviors and developing detections to protect our customers.
Identifying gaps and addressing gaps in product coverage.
Responding to customer escalations relating to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint detections.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
3 + years' experience in malware analysis, cybersecurity, reverse engineering, debugging, threat detection, threat hunting, incident response, and/or anomaly detection
OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications

o OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics,Computer Science or related fieldSecurity Research IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
