Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).Responsible for developing work packages using Navarro-ATL Work Control Processes and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for corrective/preventive maintenance, modification, fabrication, select operational activities, expense-based project construction of 222-S Laboratory structures/systems/components. Applies knowledge of Work Control Planner principles and practices in assignments and related work.Responsibilities:

Under minimal oversight, promotes a positive, safety-conscious, and collaborative work environment consistent with the Navarro-ATL mission, vision, and values.

Implements ISMS, VPP and EMS in assigned areas of responsibilities.

Manages assigned construction planning scope and ensures scheduled activities are tracked and on task.

Proactively liaises with Level 1 managers and other functional support management to ensure resources required are available to complete delivery of assigned scope.

Researches and reviews lessons learned, post job ALARA reviews for applicability and incorporation into construction work planning.

Analyzes planning processes for efficiency and makes recommendations to management. When directed by management, acts as a subject matter expert in areas of specialization such as construction planning.

Provides information to other senior members of the planning team for preparation of work orders and work activity schedules.

When directed by management, provides Work Order Review and Approval (WORA) system approval of other members of the planning staff.

Acts as a technical representative to management in area of specialization.

Conducts planning meetings and provides planning status to project schedules.

Provides analysis of planning areas of concern and provides recommendations to management for resolution.

Prepares, tracks, and controls work orders required to accomplish assigned activities.

Reviews and analyzes work documents for proper classification, priority, and description.

Prepares work documents in accordance with work control processes.

With minimal input from field work supervisor, estimates, and establishes man hours, material, and manpower needed for job completion. Supports material requisitions.

Develops work orders for low, medium, and high risk/complexity jobs.

Provides guidance and mentoring to entry and mid-level incumbents.

Assists in the development of all levels of work orders for more junior planning staff.

Performs other work planning duties as assigned.

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Construction, Business Management, or related field; AND

Eight (8) years of practical work experience in maintenance or related area, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g., trade school degree) and directly related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and planning at Hanford or Category 2 Nuclear Facilities is desired.
