We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to join our team for day and night shift. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to our residents in an adult family home setting. This role requires a strong understanding of caregiving practices, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and promoting a safe and healthy environment.

The night shift caregiver is expected to be awake for the duration of their shift to be available for any needs a Resident may have throughout the night.

One of the core responsibilities for our night shift Caregiver is to prepare the home for its next day of operations.

Duties

- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

- Provide personal care, including toileting and incontinence care.

- Assist with medication administration, as directed by a licensed nurse.

- Support residents with memory care, including memory stimulation activities.

- Promote a safe and healthy environment by ensuring the cleanliness of the home.

- Engage residents in recreational activities and social events.

- Respect and promote the rights of our residents.

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.

- Document resident care and progress.

- Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, and other caregivers.

Required certifications:

-HCA or CNA

-CPR/ First aid card

Preferred certifications:

-Dementia

-Mental Health

-Nurse delegation core & diabetes

-Food handler's card

Must pass background check

Qualifications

- Ability to administer medication and assist with daily living activities.

- Ability to follow meal plan and cook meals

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Knowledge of ADLs and their importance in caregiving.

- Familiarity with memory care practices and a commitment to supporting the needs of residents with dementia.

- Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.

- Understanding of resident rights and a commitment to promoting these rights.

- Compassionate and patient attitude, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
