Position Purpose:

Do you want to use your Software Development in Test skills to make a difference in the world of Cardiology? Do you want to work with leadership that has successfully taken several medical device startups to business and clinical success? Bardy Diagnostics is an exciting, fast growing organization within Baxter with a unique and compelling product looking for the right Software Development Engineer in Test to help us achieve our mission.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Information Technology, work together with the development team to develop products and ensure that the design meets the needs of testability, craft automated and manual tests to ensure proper test coverage, and execute informal and formal V&V. Participate in helping to move the development team toward continuous integration best practices and developing test techniques / processes that meet regulatory requirements, are effective and efficient and deliver product to a high quality standard

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement test techniques that are effective and efficient in meeting organizational goals for product quality, timeliness and regulatory compliance.

  • Work with the development team to ensure testability of product definition.

  • Plan test development and execution efforts.

  • Craft automated and manual tests and test plans to ensure proper test coverage.

  • Implement automation code structured as reusable building blocks

  • Use effective processes / practices that embrace the full software lifecycle.

  • Identify and implement tooling, frameworks, and dashboards for automated testing as needed.

  • Extend/improve current automated test suite.

  • Define and execute informal and formal V&V, identify defects, triage issues, help determine root cause, track issues to completion, and craft test reports.



Requirements


  • 3+ years as a Software Development Engineer in Test in a product development environment

  • Demonstrated success in bringing product to market

  • Demonstrated strong programming fundamentals and patterns

  • Strong familiarity with configuration management and issue tracking

  • Experience with Python or Javascript

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent



Preferred


  • Medical Device or other regulated industry experience a strong plus

  • Behavior Driven Development and/or Test-Driven Development experience a strong plus

  • Additional experience with C, C, or LabView a plus

  • Seattle Metro Area locals only
