We are a fabrication shop and structural steel installation company out of Rochester, WA. We are seeking a skilled Commercial Steel Fabrication Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, cost control, and project management. Duties
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
- Monitor construction sites to assess progress and address any issues that may impact costs
- Utilize construction management software such as BlueBeam for estimating purposes.
- Provide detailed breakdowns of material, labor, and equipment costs
- Ensure that all estimates align with project timelines and budget constraints
Experience
Required:
- Proven experience in construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices and pricing trends
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex construction documents
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with BlueBeam, BidWizard, and SolidWorks preferred
