We are looking for a legal assistant with a strong background in wordpress and hubspot. The ideal candidate is interested in a career in law, and wants to participate in using basic legal concepts to improve the lives of real people.
We are happy to teach you the law, and we can give you the knowledge and tools that you need to succeed as a legal assistant. We cannot right now take the time to teach you to use wordpress and hubspot effectively.
We are a growing consumer-rights law firm that needs to communicate effectively with a large number of clients and prospective clients. We need to develop a strong internet and social-media presence, and we need to use social media to responsibly communicate with clients. We are always preparing for the next stage in the life of the firm: Today, we need to work with our scores of clients to build a system that allows us to communicate effectively with hundreds of clients.
Our clients are entirely working-class and middle-class people. They are good and decent people, and our job is to secure for them redress from bad companies that are managed by bad people who have treated our clients very badly. We love what we do, and we never have to worry that we have "sold out" in order to earn a living.
We take the fight to the opponent: We are willing to litigate small-dollar claims, with the expectation that we can count on our opponent to do the wrong thing. We secure attorney-fee awards, sanctions, and treble damages. We believe in the leverage that comes with a jury trial, and we use that leverage to secure favorable settlements of relatively small-dollar claims.
If you are interested in jury persuasion and the process of crafting a compelling narrative from facts, this is a great job for you. Our job is to turn low five-figure settlements into high five-figure settlements. We can do so because we are always prepared to tell a client's story — while the other side hasn't given any thought into how to defend against claims that their risk adjusters have determined to be small beans.
We are looking for someone who will be genuinely excited to work with us every day, and who is entrepreneurial. We are a very small team, and we all have to be willing to accept whatever assignment we are given on any particular day. We all have to be invested in the success of the firm. Whatever the problem, we have to solve it. We have to make it work, and we have to get along.
Compensation is hourly at $22, plus more depending on experience. You will also receive a written bonus plan that has the potential to add tens of thousands of dollars to your annual compensation.
