The Revival Lounge in downtown Mount Vernon is hiring We have an opening for Professional PT Bartender/Server. We are a classic/craft cocktail speakeasy vibe lounge. We are passionate and dedicated to providing an amazing customer experience from cocktails to service and ask the same of our staff. Pay is 17 an hour plus tip pool. We offer free meals while working, employee discounts and Washington sick leave benefits as well as vacation benefits. Open availability is required, Shifts are from approximately 3:30pm to 12:30am, 10:30 on Sundays. Serving & Bartending experience is required. We are a small staff so cross-training in all positions is required.
Bartender/Server Job Duties; Responsibilities include but not limited to
Crafting Classic and in house cocktails – we offer a wide range of spirits and NA Cocktails along with wine, beer, and other beverages.
Ensure the quality and consistency of drinks by using proper techniques and measuring ingredients accurately.
Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking orders, and providing recommendations when asked. Interact with patrons in a courteous and attentive manner, addressing guests needs and ensuring an enjoyable experience. Must be able to always deliver impeccable customer service.
Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies, including spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and utensils. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Accurately handle cash and process payments, including making change, handling credit card transactions, and issuing receipts. Maintain an accurate cash drawer and report any discrepancies to management.
Maintain a well-rounded knowledge of menu, spirits and other beverages, as well as new arrivals, specials, and promotions. Ability to answer questions regarding offerings.
Ability to monitor customer behavior and alcohol consumption to prevent overconsumption and ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations. Refuse service to intoxicated or underage individuals and handle difficult situations diplomatically.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to the sale and service of alcohol.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines, such as fire safety and food safety standards.
Willingness to cross-train in all facets of our establishment including serving as well as ability to prepare simple food menu items as needed from BOH.
Bartender Qualifications:
Must be 21, have food handlers’ card and MAST 12 servers permit (or the ability to obtain within 60 days).
Proven experience as a bartender and server is required.
Knowledge of drink recipes, spirit knowledge and mixing techniques.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Attention to detail and cleanliness.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and local alcohol laws.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (e.g., kegs or cases of liquor).
