Client: Very patient and good natured adult male with severe TBI needs a gregarious. positive and patient care provider who can provide max assist care, as well as provide him companionship and active involvement in his home and community.
Shift: 3-12 hour shifts Wed, Thurs, Fri 8am-8pm
(PT live-in during these 3 days also an option depending upon experience and credentials)
Job Description:
Provide individualized care with all ADLs & related care necessary for personal comfort, safety & recreation
Medication management & documentation
Sz protocols & prevention
Manage neurogenic deficits & associated needs
Meal prep: manage calories, oxalates and other dietary needs & fluids
Max assist pivot & mechanical transfers
Knowledge & consistent practice of universal precaution & sanitation standards
Transport, attend & accurately report all activities
Therapies & related tasks (RT, Rec, OT, PT, SLP)
Daily documentation
Job Requirements:
HCA with CDWA
NAC (CNA)
Nurse Delegation Certification
Current WA DL, proof of insurance and clean driving record
21+ years of age
At least 2+ yrs experience as HCP
At least 1 yr experience with medically involved clients
Ability to perform single person pivot transfers & bed repositioning
Proof of negative TB
Excellent cooking and housekeeping skills
Professional & appropriate presentation
HS diploma or equivalent
Non-smoker
Positive attitude, sense of humor, strong work ethics, dedicated
Able to remain calm and rational in an emergency
Good listening skills & able to follow instructions
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
English first language preferred
Prefer male, but open to any qualified
