An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Aerospace and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will process all in and outbound shipments, build crates, pack, and labeling of outbound shipments, and deliver finished goods via company vehicle. Deliveries up and down I-5 typically as far as Seattle Metro Area. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently without supervision. The candidate must have a current driver’s license and a clean driving record. Qualifications.
Minimum two years of related experience or equivalent.
Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
Operate material handling equipment including a forklift and pallet jack.
Knowledge and ability to use basic handheld measuring tools.
Knowledge and ability to use basic small power tools.
Valid driver's license without any major infractions.
Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic violations.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Physical stamina to perform loading/unloading tasks and handle heavy cargo.
Good communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset.
Specific Activities. Activities include but not limited to:
Process in and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, counting logging, delivering, packing, and shipping in the shipping department.
Mark and store received goods according to company receiving policies.
Physically load and unload goods at each site in a safe and secure manner utilizing provided equipment if available.
Pick up materials from suppliers.
Pack and label materials based on established standards.
Secure and properly tie down cargo using appropriate equipment, such as straps, chains, and tarps, to ensure safe transportation.
Delivering finished goods, utilizing company vehicle.
Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in shipping and material laydown areas.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
Report any vehicle maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.
Observe all safety guidelines including but not limited to DOT, OSHA, and company policies and regulations.
Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
There may be other duties the position may have during downtime (i.e., yard maintenance, sweeping, etc.).
Education and Experience.
Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
2+ years’ experience in warehouse facility preferred.
2+ years’ experience operating a commercial vehicle.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to move, reach, lift, handle, feel, ascend/descend, observe, inspect, detect, handle or position self to observe. Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs frequently.
Work Environment.
This job operates outside and at times in inclement weather as well as in a fabrication shop environment.
Must be able to remain standing/walking position for majority of the time.
There is exposure to machine oil, metal, plastic and wood particles, unpleasant odors, and noise.
Job functions on and around equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy, and safety awareness.
Schedule. Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, may require some overtime work.
Job Type. Full-time, Non-exempt position
Compensation. $26-$40 DOE
