Job Purpose:
Fabricates components by fitting & welding parts per details in prints and shop drawings.
Duties:
Collects equipment and materials by studying specifications and component requirements.
Fabricates components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces; setting-up and measuring assemblies; selecting appropriate method.
Working in heated build w/ jib cranes on flat table work and/or sawhorses as preferred.
Welding primarily in the 1G and 2G positions.
Majority of welding is via Wire Feed with Flux Core.
Weld materials; stainless steel, aluminum and misc. carbon steel components.
Verifies welding results by inspecting welds.
Documents actions by completing records.
Maintains safe work environment by following procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Special Note:
Will consider 'no experience’ for motivated individuals looking to get started welding from the ground up. On-the-job welder training available.
