Overview:
Boutique, home-based marine canvas and upholstery shop in Anacortes is hiring an experienced sewer/fabricator for year-round projects. From yachts to custom covers, our work is never the same twice — it’s hands-on, creative and satisfies the maker’s itch
The ideal employee is:
A master-level sewer with experience
Able to deliver high-quality, consistent work
Experienced with or eager to learn industrial sewing, patterning & fabrication
Enjoys boats. Knows bow from stern and comfortable with basic hand tools
Extreme proficiency in sewing, following patterns and cutting
Collaborative and willing to take direction and problem-solve. Always striving to produce top-quality work, efficiently.
Experience working as part of a production crew (food, carpentry, sewing, etc.)
Excited to learn new things and build your skills
Comfortable working at height (occasionally)
If you are a passionate home sewer and ready to move to industrial fabrication this job could be for you
Must pass a sewing test and 2-week paid trial period
Details:
24–40 hrs/week, steady year-round work
Pay based on skill and experience ($25-40/hr)
References or possible background check required
15-30% outdoor, in-field
70-85% in-shop sewing and fabrication
