This is a Temp-to-Perm position
We are seeking a candidate that will be able to arrange existing and procured product for existing clients and vendors. This position will also require procuring product not in stock to sell to such clients and vendors as well. This candidate will be a procurement specialist and will be an integral part of the operation. Working directly with new and existing customers, you will be the go-to person for all inquiries a customer might have, including quotes, orders, recommendations, and expert advice You will also help with the sourcing of materials to be brought in.
The ideal candidate will have had some level of buyer / brokering / or Purchasing background. Also having worked in the agricultural industry is a huge plus!
Responsibilities
Prepare quotes and orders for clients in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist wholesale customers with selections.
Coordinate the pickup or shipment of orders.
Generate new business from existing clients, and client relationship management.
Source material from area vendors and suppliers.
Experience
Experience in the agricultural industry with some buyer / brokering / purchasing experience a plus.
Experience in a agricultural industry field (i.e horticulture, design, or forestry) a plus.
Capability to upsell inventory material, market our wide range of products and services, and offer helpful suggestions and substitutions to client base.
Ability to work outdoors; ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Team player attitude is a must.
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
Adept with computers, mobile devices, email.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
