An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Aerospace and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.

We are seeking an experienced Machinist III CNC Programmer who can work directly from a drawing or CAD model to develop a manufacturing process, fixture design as well as further optimize existing programs and processes to improve production efficiency, quality and/or reliability. Our ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter, have excellent communication skills, who is dedicated, collaborative, professional, results-oriented, and highly reliable.

Qualifications.

Proficient in recent versions of Mastercam

Knowledge of CNC, Lathe, Mill Turn and Manual machine operations

Good understanding of G code and hand-editing code at the machine

Effective communication, relationship, time-management, and critical thinking skills

Experience with PDF software

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to drive continuous improvement processes and standards

Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team

Specific Activities. Activities include but not limited to:

Analyze part drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selecting cutting tools, and machine speeds and feeds

Use CAD/CAM software to plan and program multi-axis milling machines to machine complex surfacing, multi-operation and/or multi-axis parts

Troubleshoot software settings and configure post processes as required

Evaluate drawings and engineering data sets of part configuration to determine the selection of tools, method of work holding and optimal machine cutting paths

Coordinate internally with supervisors, shop personnel and quality control

Education and Experience.

2+ years of machine shop experience in programming, setup, and operating CNC equipment

2+ years of experience programming with Mastercam

Quality Inspection with Laser tracking experience a plus

Work Location. Work is performed on-site

Schedule. Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts, may require some overtime work

Job Type. Full-time, or Part-time, Non-exempt position

Compensation. $25-$38 DOE
