We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Finish Carpenter with expertise in finish carpentry and flooring installation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with interior trim, custom woodwork, and a variety of flooring types, including engineered wood, vinyl plank, and site-finished hardwood. This is a full-time position with steady work and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Install trim, baseboards, crown molding, doors, and interior casings
- Fabricate and install custom cabinetry and built-ins
- Install various flooring types, including:
Engineered hardwood
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
Site-finished hardwood flooring
Sand and refinish hardwood floors to a high standard
Apply stains and finishes using proper techniques
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
Communicate clearly with team members, clients, and supervisors
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in interior finish carpentry and flooring preferred
- Proven experience in sanding and refinishing hardwood floors
- Strong knowledge of flooring installation techniques and finish carpentry tools
- Ability to measure, cut, and install with accuracy and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
- Must have own basic tools for flooring and finish work (preferred but not required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with custom residential interiors and remodels
- Knowledge of stains, sealers, and wood species
