Description We are in the market for an Office Manager to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry at our Spokane Valley, Washington location. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting and administrative teams and will serve as a liaison between our operations and the corporate office. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Supervise, train, and develop the accounting and administrative team and provide support to the operations team. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Provide comprehensive accounting support across all functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, customer work management, job costing, and inventory. Recognize and record revenue accurately and timely. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiencies. Prepare and assist with contract bid preparations. Understand and execute customer contracts in compliance with terms and conditions. Generate financial reports and perform analysis for area and corporate leadership. Determine and communicate accounting and administrative staffing needs. Verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of accounting documents. Ensure all internal and external audit requests and inquiries are addressed promptly. Perform other duties as requested by leadership. Requirements Experience in an Office Manager role, preferably within the construction or contractor industry Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in managing payroll Familiarity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel Experience in using SAP or similar software for business operations Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically High attention to detail and accuracy in work.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
