Job DescriptionCandidates considered for this role will need to be capable of the following:

Observes packaging/processing equipment/machinery electronic/mechanical to determine cause of malfunction.

Performs necessary tasks to equipment/machinery to repair/remove defective parts.

May perform a variety of electrical/mechanical tests to determine exact cause of issue.

Track issues relating to an automated process system to determine why specific quality issues are happening with product.

Make necessary adjustments with process & machine operators to ensure proper operations of machines/equipment/control instruments.

Installs/repair special functional and structural parts in automated system.

Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) as instructed on all equipment/machinery/facility.

Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.

Make necessary electrical installations and/or repairs.

Operates and services plant boilers and other heating, ventilation and air conditioning type equipment.

Works with each department providing necessary mechanical support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved.

Job TypeThis is a permanent position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Frederickson, Washington.Work EnvironmentMedallion Foods is a noodle manufacturer located in Frederickson. This means there are not any bus routes that run to that area. The facility is normally on the warm side due to large ovens that bake the wet noodles. The facility is also very loud due to the nature of the machines. Candidates will be on their feet for 8-10 hours a day and can expect to lift upwards of 50 lbs. when needed.Pay: $27-$29/hour plus $0.50 shift differential

Team Member may be exposed to hot, wet and/or humid conditions; fumes, chemicals and/or airborne particles.

Must be able to climb and work at heights and/or enclosed spaces working with various tools and/or equipment.

The noise level usually requires hearing protection.

SHIFT Will train on Days and SWITCH TO NIGHTSDay Shift 6am - 6pm Sunday - Tuesday with every other Wednesday or Thursday - Saturday with every other WednesdayNight Shift 6:00pm - 6:00am Sunday - Tuesday with every other Wednesday or Thursday - Saturday with every other WednesdayMedallion occasionally will switch shifts up to cover a weekend or require overtime when production demands are higher. About the Position: This position is with: US ARMY IMCOM JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD WA DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC WORKS Responsibilities Perform carpentry duties to include constructing and repairing a wide variety of structural items such as building frames, rafters, concrete forms, walls, staircases, and door and window frames. Perform painting duties including brushing, rolling and spraying, by using coating materials requiring special preparation and by applying coatings to ensure surfaces are protected. Perform masonry work including repairing structures made of brick, glass brick, block or stone. Removes asbestos containing materials in accordance with Public Works standard operating procedures. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Maintenance without more than normal supervision. Perform maintenance work associated with a variety of trades such as carpentry, painting, masonry work and building maintenance. Perform constructions or repairs such as building walls using wood, creating concrete forms and pouring concrete and stripping and repainting surfaces to protect from the elements. Interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications, and determines the layout and work sequences and types of materials used for the project. Have the ability to use tolls such as hammers, saws, drill concrete mixers, measuring devices and painting equipment. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort: The work requires frequent climbing, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, stretching, and walking. Some of the work is performed from ladders scaffolds which require overhead work in stretched, cramped, or awkward positions. Army movement is considerable when nailing, mortaring, grouting, painting, and using such tools as handsaws, trowels, paint brushes, and planers. There is frequent lifting and carrying of items that weigh 50-100 pounds. Some of the work requires that the employee handle, with the use of hand truck, items weighing up to 300 pounds. Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather. Subject to falls, cuts, burns, bruises, broken bones, or other serious injury. Subject to extremes of weather including dust, wind, heat, rain, freezing temperatures, et cetera. May occasionally work at heights over 100 feet which are compensated by hazard duty pay. There is danger of falling from scaffolds, ladders, lowers up to 100 feet tall, and danger from flying splinters, chops, ceramics, glass, et cetera. There is frequent exposure to noise from various hand power tools, Work is done in areas that vary from \"clean rooms\" to areas that are noisy, dirty, and smoky.
