Together we are empowered to make an even greater impact on the health and well-being of our communities.ResponsibilitiesVirginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) seeks a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Hospital Based Services to lead and manage the daily operations of a vital department within our organization. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the delivery of healthcare services to our hospitals and the local community.About the Role:This leadership position is responsible for the comprehensive planning, oversight, and evaluation of all administrative functions within the Hospital Based Department. You will be the driving force behind optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in achieving key performance indicators related to financial performance, patient satisfaction, and staff development.Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence: Plan, oversee, and evaluate daily administrative operations, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to VMFH policies and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement efficient administrative procedures, fostering strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Stewardship: Manage and analyze departmental budgets, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and revenue cycle management. Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue, control costs, and achieve budgetary targets. Track and report on key financial metrics, including provider compensation.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Produce insightful data analytics and financial reports to inform strategic decision-making, identify areas for improvement, and support business planning initiatives.

Patient & Customer Focus: Oversee processes to ensure high levels of patient and customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor administrative support staff, providing guidance and support in areas such as billing reconciliation, meeting coordination, and general administrative tasks. Manage employee relations, including onboarding, performance evaluations, and addressing performance management issues.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and VMFH policies, including those related to billing, coding, medical records, and infection control.

Performance Improvement: Continuously monitor and assess operations to identify opportunities for improvement, implementing changes to enhance quality and efficiency.

Provider Support: Assist providers with compliance, documentation, scheduling, and continuing medical education (CME) requirements.QualificationsWhat We’re Seeking:

Bachelor's degree in health administration, business administration, nursing, or a related field, and three years of related work experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a hospital setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Demonstrated experience in physician practice administration, inpatient and hospital services, and revenue cycle management.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant healthcare software applications.
