Description We are in search of a Sr. Accounting Specialist to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. This role functions within the government sector, and focuses on a variety of accounting tasks, such as implementing contract modules, handling day-to-day payroll items, and maintaining financial statements. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Implement and manage contract modules, ensuring accurate financial reporting Handle day-to-day payroll items, ensuring all accounting procedures are followed Utilize technical skills to enhance efficiency in accounting processes Work with Accounts Payable, handling utilities and P cards Maintain a strong proficiency in MS Excel to manage and analyze financial data Conduct audits in an expedited manner to ensure compliance with financial regulations Manage Purchase Order (PO) modules, creating POs for each outstanding year Utilize various Accounting Software Systems to streamline accounting functions Work towards resolving customer inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain accurate customer credit records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with Ceridian and Concur applications Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Understanding of general Accounting Functions Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing procedures Ability to manage Billing Functions Proven track record of maintaining confidential information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Strong organizational and time management skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
