Description If you're an experienced accountant with a keen eye for accuracy, there's an exciting opportunity through Robert Half for you to check out at a growing firm. The responsibilities of a Staff Accountant entail preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In addition, you'll be in communication with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, participating in compliance, and reviewing schedules for the reporting processes. The majority of time spent in this position involves producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
Partake in annual closing processes
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner Requirements - Recent and relevant accounting experience
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Comprehensive knowledge of journal entries
Auditing experience
Sales and use tax experience
Financial Statement experience required
Account reconciliation experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
