PAY AND SCHEDULE:
Competitive Wages start at $28.89/hr., increasing to $31.75/hr. after 692 compensated hours
Typical schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed, totaling a 45-hour workweek
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely operate a refuse truck along designated routes to collect recyclables, with or without prior waste experience
Read route sheets and efficiently service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires
Physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading, occasionally without assistance
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities
Maintain courteous interaction with customers and fulfill other assigned job-related duties
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Involves extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds
Some exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, necessitates adherence to basic safety precautions
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, occasional fumes, and moderate noise levels
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement
Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in English; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 1 year of directly related experience
Basic knowledge of truck components for pre-and post-trip inspections
