Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Branch/Retail Banking Clerk in Tukwila, Washington. The main function of this role is to provide comprehensive banking services to customers, which includes managing customer accounts, processing financial transactions, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. The role is situated in a dynamic and fast-paced retail banking environment. Responsibilities: Greet customers upon arrival and address their banking needs in a professional manner Perform routine financial transactions such as cash withdrawals, deposits, transfers, or loan payments Balance cash drawers and receipts, ensuring all transactions have been accurately accounted for Verify customer identities and maintain the confidentiality of their personal banking information Resolve issues with customer accounts, escalating to a supervisor when necessary Promote and explain bank products and services to customers to meet their financial needs Use banking software to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries about their accounts Follow collection processes to recover overdue payments from customers Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the bank premises. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with Banking software Experience in Data Processing Knowledge of LaserPro Ability to work with Lawon ERP Experience in answering inbound calls Proficiency in check processing Understanding of collection processes Experience with consumer loans Knowledge of credit processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to provide excellent customer service Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Basic math skills for handling cash transactions Ability to comply with all banking regulations and policies Strong problem-solving skills Able to work in a team-oriented environment Familiarity with basic office equipment such as computers, fax machines, and photocopiers High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a banking or financial institution is a plus Willingness to continue learning and improving banking skills.
