Find your future with us.Position Overview:Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) team located in Tukwila, WA. The ideal candidate will have a Aircraft Systems background.Position Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) teams as a BDS program representative

Support creation and revision of System Safety Assessments (SSAs), System Description Documents (SDDs) and Fault Tree Analyses (FTAs)

Review wire designs and wire routing for changed and unchanged Aircraft Systems and Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) compliance

Consult with Aircraft Systems Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure system functionally

Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

Provide guidance to others through structured mentoring

Work under minimal direction

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Tukwila, WA and Everett, WA. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5 or more years’ of experience working with aircraft systems

9 or more years’ of experience in the aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

5 or more years’ of aircraft systems engineering experience

1 or more years’ experience with Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) compliance

Working knowledge and experience developing/applying aviation related system safety analysis methods such as System Safety Risk Assessments, Fault-tree Analysis (FTA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA) and Safety Assessment Report (SAR)

Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
